Completed my stint at KPMG India. It was a steep but fulfilling learning curve. I thank my manager Amit Darak for providing me this opportunity and also for the exposure at the client site.As I move to a different role here are my key takeaways from my time at KPMG India.1. Seniors in the industry have solved most of the problems that you are facing as a newcomer - so it's best to learn from their experiences than reinventing the wheel.2. There are room for mistakes, but only when they are honest ones. 3. The key to adjusting to any new role is having one's own sense of identity and evaluating the changes required based on this analysis.4. Patience and a cool head goes a long way.5. Managing a team entails a lot more than just managing work. Human relations are more than just reporting work completions.6. Managing others also means that one needs to have clarity about the process and output that is expected of the team. The farewell at the client side was beautiful. Even my cats featured in it. Thanks Veda Shewalkar ,Priya Dwivedi , Revannath Gadhave , Saloni Awaghade , Rucha Dinkar Asim Phadke, Abhishek Wani, Shruti, Prachi Ghadge , Elma Malik , Purvaja Pagare, Roshani, Swatti, Vedika, Yash Khandekar , Vishal Ahire, Neerali and Yugandhara.

Today marks 5 years of being part of KPMG India. Time flies and how! They say first job is important, steppingstone and memorable one and I cannot agree to it more.l am glad that I chose to begin my career with one of the #big4. For me, this is more of an institution than an organization. It has been spur behind me growing from amateur chartered accountant to much responsible professional, and yet there is so much more to #seek, #learn and #grow. It has been a nurturing journey all throughout and some key learnings are:- Stay true and committed to yourself - this creates your brand value and people will instill trust- Pass on the learning you have gained to your team - after all, your experiences are the most valuable lessons for them- Be safest place for your team to express- Listen to the views of all kinds - this encourages and uplifts self-esteem of your team- Learn from the mistakes and own it up, let the laurels flow down to your team members who are your pillar of success- Stay true to your empathetic manager - this will sail your boat- Chase excellence and let the learning never stop- - - -#careermilestone #workanniversary #firstjob #kpmg #kpmgindia #consultinglife #learningandgrowing #gratitude #upwardsandonwards- - - -

Found this analogy absolutely bang on!!For all my consulting friends and Commerce/ CA aspirants joining the BIG 4 is a dream, and they are the 4 Dhams for this sect. 🤩🔍🔸 Deloitte: The Dwarka Dham of Consulting! Just like the vibrant city of Dwarka, Deloitte stands tall as a hub of innovation and expertise. Its diverse range of services make it a perfect destination for those who seek a holistic experience on their consulting journey.🔸 PwC / PwC India: The Puri Dham of Consulting! Puri, known for its rich traditions and spiritual significance, aligns perfectly with PwC's commitment to excellence and integrity. 🔸 EY: The Rameshwaram Dham of Consulting! Just as Rameshwaram connects the mainland with its divine bridge, EY bridges the gap between strategy and execution. 🔸 KPMG India: The Badrinath Dham of Consulting! Nestled amidst the scenic beauty of the Himalayas, Badrinath exudes a sense of serenity and enlightenment. Similarly, KPMG's emphasis on knowledge, innovation, and thought leadership offers consultants an opportunity to explore new heights of success while maintaining a balanced work-life harmony.Remember, just like the pilgrims who embark on their spiritual quests, your journey to these consulting giants requires dedication, perseverance, and continuous learning. 🎯📚 Share with your friends who are either a part of these BIG 4 or aspire to join them and spread the inspiration! 🙌🌟#delloite #pwc #kpmg #EY #consulting #consultingservices #big4 #CommerceStudents #CAJourney #CareerGoals #ProfessionalDevelopment

My Journey from CA Qualification to Assistant Manager at Deloitte India.Hey LinkedIn fam! I want to share my story with you all.In July 2023, I achieved a significant milestone by becoming a Chartered Accountant. Little did I know, my journey would be filled with numerous twists and turns. My first interview with Deloitte USI took me to the final round, but I faced rejection. I was confident, & that's why I didn't apply elsewhere for 22 days, but life had different plans for me.I experienced moments of anxiety, stress, and self-doubt. However, I refused to give in to those negative feelings. I summoned my fighting spirit and decided to try again, this time with a newfound determination. And guess what? After facing interviews with the Big 4 and Big 6, I received offers from not one, not two, but four of them.Today, I am thrilled to announce that I have accepted the role of Assistant Manager in Risk Advisory at Deloitte India. This journey has taught me the value of self-belief & the incredible opportunities that arise when we push through adversity.I want to thank everyone who supported me along the way – God, Family, Friends, Mentors, & my own belief in my capabilities.Remember, no matter how many setbacks you face, as long as you keep moving forward with determination, the possibilities are limitless. #career #Deloitte #riskadvisory

Promotions 💖🎉 were recently announced at KPMG. I was reflecting with a colleague about how more people DON'T get promoted than do get promoted. This is the math at most any organization. The point being, along with the elation and congratulations, there can be a lot of disappointment, frustration, and wondering about future prospects. So what better time to host a professional development event on the topic of promotions?Yesterday I had the honor and pleasure of moderating a dynamic and insightful discussion with Kallol Ghosh, Srilekha Varanasi, and Vivek Bhushan on the topic of "Path to Promotion." Spoiler alert❗❗❗ For the closing question, I asked each of them if they could summarize in one sentence or less 1 thing any of us could do TODAY to increase our chances of being promoted. Loved all their answers. Sri: Be intentionalVivek: Be present-focusedKallol: Believe in yourself (be confident)There were many other insights I took away that I will treasure and use on my career journey. A recording is available for a limited time so please reach out to the API Inbox or myself or any of my fellow co-chairs if you would like to watch the replay. Note: This is for internal KPMG folks only so apologies for anyone outside KPMG who won't be able to watch. Thanks to #KPMG Montvale and Short Hills API for sponsoring this professional development event, with shout-outs to my fellow Montvale co-chairs Priti Shetty and Rajesh Kumar who helped host, to our Montvale advisor Ting Chin, and to Chandan Dargan for bringing the Short Hills support.#kpmgproud #careeradvancement #professionaldevelopment #gettingpromoted
