Nicola Coughlan is coming home to Ireland and bringing Bridgerton with her as she is making two stops in the Emerald Isle on the series three promo tour.

The Irish actress, 37, who plays Penelope Featherington in the Netflix show, along with her co-star Luke Newton, who plays her love interest Colin Bridgerton, will be stopping in Dublin as well as in Nicola's hometown of Galway next week.

The pair recently headed to Brazil and Australia for a screening of Bridgerton season three, but their next stop is much closer to home for the Galway native.

The Bridgerton stars will be hitting the red carpet in Dublin with a special screening of Bridgerton season three, episode five - the first of the final four episodes - taking place in the Lighthouse Cinema in Dublin on Thursday, June 6.

Nicola will head to Galway the next day with The Galway Fleadh hosting another special screening at Pálás Cinema in Galway, with free tickets up for grabs.

This comes after Nicola opened up about her decision to wear a red badge that calls for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas on the Bridgerton press tour.

She said her dad inspired the move, saying in an interview with USA Today: 'It's very important for me because I feel like I’m a very privileged person. I’m doing my dream job and getting to travel the world, but then I’m hyper-aware of what’s happening in Rafah at the moment.'

The actress continued: 'My dad was in the Irish army, which is a peacekeeping force. He was a member of the UN. So my family actually lived in Jerusalem in the late 70s.

'He was part of UNTSO, the United Nations Truce Supervision Organisation, so it was about brokering peace in the Middle East.'

The final four episodes of Bridgerton season three land on Netflix on June 13.
