Everything To Know Ahead The Upcoming Love Island Season (2024)

We've officially entered the season of summer barbecues, sundresses and you guessed it... Love Island.

The hit dating show's return to our TV screens is right around the corner, and the twelfth season promises to be as explosive and juicy as ever, if not even more.

We've rounded up everything you need to know about the upcoming season of Love Island from its start date and the predicted final date to the ten singletons looking to find love in the Majorcan villa this summer. Take a look:

When does Love Island 2024 start?

We've got a text! Love Island will make its grand return to our TV screens at 9pm on Monday, June 3.

Love Island: Aftersun will also return to screens live from London every Sunday, hosted by Maya Jama. She'll be joined by Sam Thompson and Indiyah Polack who will resume their roles and they'll also be joined by new panelists Amy Hart, Chris Taylor, and Jordan Stephens as well as celebrity guests to discuss all the goings on from the villa.

When will the final of Love Island 2024 take place?

If our math is correct, and Love Island sticks with it's usual run time, the next date to mark in your calendars is Monday, July 29, as that's looking like a likely date for the finale.

We're already on the edge of our seats trying to predict whether any of the OG Islanders will make it through the eight-week stint.

Who hosts Love Island?

Love Island's hostess with the mostess is none other than the jaw-droppingly beautiful Maya Jama.

This will be the 29-year-old's fourth season hosting the hit dating show, having taken over the reigns from Laura Whitmore for the winter 2023 season.

Prior to Laura hosting the show, the late Caroline Flack was at the helm for five seasons between 2016 and 2019.

Meet the Love Island 2024 contestants

Samantha Kenny

Samantha Kenny, 26, is a makeup artist from Liverpool who said she's decided to go on Love Island to find someone to settle down with - and is hoping to find a co*ckney boy from London.

She said: 'I’m ready to settle down and Love Island is an amazing opportunity to meet someone that isn’t from my area. I love a co*ckney boy so I’m hoping there is one in there for me.'

Ronnie Vint

The first hunk confirmed to enter the villa was 27-year-old semi-professional footballer Ronnie Vint from south-east London.

Ronnie, who plays for non-league team Lewes, is a close friend of show favourite Olivia Attwood, even acting as her husband Bradley Dack's best man at their wedding last summer.

Munveer Jabbal

Munveer, 30, from Surbiton in Surrey, has also struggled to find love while living in London saying the dating scene is 'horrible'.

He said: 'London dating hasn't worked out for me. The opportunity to be surrounded by good-looking people in a villa under the sun is an absolute no-brainer! I’m 30-years-old and I need to start thinking seriously about the next step, and what better place.'

Nicole Samuel

Nicole Samuel, 24, from Aberdare in Wales, is the next contestant confirmed for the 2024 show.

She expects to be a contestant to remember, saying: 'My personality is big and I’m pretty out there, I reckon I’ll probably have one of the biggest personalities in the villa.'

Patsy Field

Patsy Field is Love Island 2024's only contestant with a disability. The 29-year-old, who hails from Orpington, was born with Erb's palsy, meaning her right arm is shorter in length and unable to function as well as her left which developed during her traumatic birth.

Speaking about her disability, Patsy said: 'I've got something very special about me which is my disability, it’s a condition I was born with called Ebs Palsy. It doesn't define who I am, but it makes me a little different, although I’ve learnt to get on with it and it’s never held me back.'

Ciaran Davies

Welshman Ciaran Davies, 21, from Pencoed has also been confirmed to enter the Majorcan villa.

He's a rugby player, with Tondu RFC, based in West Wales, who feels like he's 'mature enough for something serious with the right girl.'

In our experience, if someone has to state they're mature, chances are they probably aren't that mature... best of luck, ladies!

Mimii Ngulube

Mimii Ngulube, 24, from Portsmouth, decided on a whim to apply for a spot in the villa to find love as the dating pool in Portsmouth is 'not giving'. Try being from Dublin, Mimii!

She said: 'I’ve tried dating, speaking to people on social media, and it just hasn’t been successful. Applying was a spontaneous thing, I didn’t expect to get here!'

Sam Taylor

Sam Taylor, 23, who is a hairstylist from Chesterfield, is hoping to find that special someone under the Majorcan sun.

He said: 'At this point in my life I just want the opportunity to find a real connection with someone. I’ve been looking for that connection for quite some time but I’ve never really found it, I’m hoping I find that spark in the villa.'

Jess White

Jess White is a retail manager from Stockport and is looking to find someone she can settle down with as she has a fear of being the aunt still going to Ibiza 'having a midlife crisis'- relatable!

She said: 'All my friends are in relationships, settled down with babies and I'm going to end up that aunt that rocks up at family parties and they say "she's still not met someone, she’s still going to Ibiza having a midlife crisis". I just want to meet somebody and to be able to do all of that stuff too.'

Ayo Odukoya

Ayo Odukoya, 25, is a model from Canning Town in London who is hoping to find a girlfriend he can cosy up with after the show.

He said: 'I don’t really like being outside too much, I’ve been outside recently and it’s not fun outside! I do prefer to be indoors chilling with that person I can do stuff with. It would be nice to have that with somebody again.'

Too bad the majority of the cameras are outside in the sunshine, Ayo...

Harriett Blackmore

Harriett Blackmore, 24, is a dancer and personal shopper from Brighton who is eager to get cracking on her best chat-up lines in the Majorcan villa.

She claimed she'll be bringing 'a bit of fun and flirting' for the boys and is ready to be a 'really good friend' to the girls. We'll believe that when we see it, Harriett!

Where can I watch Love Island 2024?

Love Island typically airs at 9pm every day, with the exception of Saturdays, on Virgin Media Two and the Virgin Media Player.

Some episodes are longer than others when there's a chaotic recoupling, dumping or Casa Amor drama.

Popcorn at the ready lads, we've a feeling more than one of these singletons are about to be royally mugged off!
