We resigned both Mark Nzchoeza and Malcolm Smith, are we done here, or possibly bringing in a Shaq Barrett or Shane Ray? Drafting Allen ?? What say you guys?

Shaq Barrett signed by Tampa Bay. I doubt they bring in anyone else.

Maybe wait till after the June 1st or even training camp cuts and see if there are any upgrades that come available.

That looks like a good plan.

Id just draft someone in the 6th round. There will be plenty better than the scrubs we got.

No that round is reserved for drafting the second best punter.

It's a useless position thats main job is to set the edge in the run game, that occasionally drops in coverage, and that occasionally blitz. Its essentially the fullback of the defense, actually Juice has more value than a Sam. Its the first position off the field in nickel. Not sure why they'd invest anything into it. Would rather just add another edge rusher for the nickel.

I know it would probably never happen, but I'd rather bring back Harold to play the SAM instead of either M. Smith or Nzeocha. The thinking would be if Harold would come back without costing too much, he could hopefully be a better contributor as he knows this scheme and also he did have four sacks last year with the Lions. He's still young - just turned 25 - so maybe his best football still lies ahead of him? Again, this is just if presented the choice of Smith, Nzeocha, or Harold - I'd choose Harold.

Last year I wanted Genard Avery. Holy crap he would have been perfect.
