From fearing the stage to coming on national television, Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal is definitely the shark of the season and my favorite among all.Coming from the small town of Muktsar (Punjab), Deepinder has come a long way from failing his 5th standard to cracking IIT and now being one of the most looked-up to CEOs of the country.Zomato jaisa kuch likho is something we all have heard in our writing careers, but it is undeniable that Zomato’s customer understanding is beyond that of a food delivery app. This post is not about Zomato or its marketing but about the shark himself, Deepinder Goyal.I became his fan when he addressed his stammering thing in his interview with Shradha Sharma. He is a living example of the fact that your weaknesses don’t define you.My legs used to tremble because of stage fright, and even today I get nervous during interviews or a big presentation. Sometimes it gets hard for me to keep my calm, which earlier made me think I’m not that good, but his story made me confident that you are not bound by your weaknesses.Thank you, Deepinder sir, for being so honest and real. Also, please come more often to Shark Tank India episodes; it’s truly a delight to watch you online.Manifesting to meet you soon :)🤞🏻#sharktankindiaseason3 #founder #sharks

No, it is fun :-)✅ Product people belong to the creative domain.✅ Most probably, the kind of people you are looking for are not looking for a job.I just ordered the book CULTure at Zomato by Deepinder Goyal. Thanks for sharing the insights. #innovation #management #technology #creativity AgileWoW

Deepinder Goyal, Zomato CEO, retracted the 'Pure-Veg Fleet' plan. He's a Shark Tank India 2024 participant with Ritesh Agarwal, Ronnie Screwvala. An IIT Delhi graduate, Goyal strategically expanded Zomato globally.Zomato's got a zing to it and is originally a play on the word 'tomato'. "One of the reasons why we decided to change the name in late 2010 from Foodiebay to Zomato was that we wanted a powerful brand name" says Deepinder Goyal, Founder Zomato in this interview.#snsinstitutions#snsdesignthinkers#designthinking

Why Deepinder Goyal's Shark Tank Stint Might Not be the Perfect Recipe for Zomato 🛑 ❗ 🔴 Zomato, a brand that has skillfully captured our hearts ❤️ with its social media presence, playful branding, and captivating content, Zomato is a true marketing powerhouse. From ads that make us salivate to notifications that delightfully surprise us, Zomato's marketing game is on point. Iconic campaigns like "Doodh mangoge Doodh denge, Kheer mangoge, Kheer denge" showcase its marketing prowess. But the delivery of Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal on Shark Tank might not leave the best taste.Being a shark is tough. It involves analyzing businesses within limited time frame, asking tough questions, extracting crucial information, detecting deception, and deciphering complex numbers. The role demands constructive yet blunt criticism as investors decide where to invest their hard-earned money.Could this no-nonsense shark identity clash with the brand's witty and friendly image?I think it's a potential clash that might leave a bitter taste. What do you think?PS: I think the picture's a bit much too 😁. Reminds you of Indian news channels and their special features.#sharktank #sharktankindia #zomato #marketing #branding #business

Success? It's all in the details!Caught a glimpse of Shark Tank India recently, and something that Deepinder Goyal, CEO of Zomato, said really struck a chord: "Attention to detail is key."At University Living, I've always been obsessing over the little things. From double-checking every piece of #information to ensuring the client interactions are seamless, it's all about those tiny details that build #trust and reliability! What are your thoughts? Have you ever experienced a situation where a small detail made a massive impact? Maybe it was a tiny tweak in your product or a small gesture in a #client meeting that turned things around. Share your story in the comments!Remember, in business, as in life, it’s often the small things that make the biggest difference. So here's to paying attention, sweating the small stuff, and making a world of difference, one detail at a time.#sharktankindia #attentiontodetail #businesspractices Vineeta Singh Anupam Mittal Aman Gupta Palakh Khanna Rachit Poddar Arjun Vaidya

Deepinder Goyal Was looking forward to the new season of Shark Tank India and the best addition to this season was the CEO of Zomato. What was outstanding and different? 1). Something which is worth learning from you is the way you communicate harsh but crisp feedback to the pitchers. (very clear, not sugar coated but still very polite) 2) Attention to detail is always very very important, be it small projects or very big pitches. (enables trust quickly and easily) 3). Ego (have to do something no matter how crazy it is to prove everyone wrong ) VS Rationality (does not make sense seeing the data and should leave it ) - Chose your motivation to take the right decision.. #sharktankindia #learningeveryday #zomato #lookingforward

In the world of business, it's often tempting to think in terms of 'OR'—choosing between growth OR profit, speed OR quality, or long term OR short term. But as Deepinder Goyal rightly points out, that's the 'Tyranny of the OR.'🚀 Straddling Both Extremes 🚀To truly thrive and build great organizations, we must learn to embrace 'AND.' It's about achieving seemingly contradictory goals simultaneously—growth AND profit, freedom AND responsibility, speed AND quality, long term AND short term.✨ The 'Genius of the AND' in Action ✨Growth AND Profit: It's not just about expanding rapidly; it's about doing so sustainably and profitably.Speed AND Quality: Delivering quickly should never compromise the quality of what we offer.Long Term AND Short Term: Successful organizations plan for the future while staying agile in the present.Let's resonate with Deepinder's wisdom and reject the limitations of 'OR.' By embracing the 'Genius of the AND,' we can reach new heights in business and in life.Thank you for sharing this insightful perspective, and I couldn't agree more! 🙌 #GeniusOfTheAND #BusinessMindset #EmbracePossibilities #Zomato #DeepinderGoyal #Culture
